Spider Park, Sheffield 2024

Midland Renewables supplied and installed air source heat pumps and underfloor heating across the 22 eco-homes and a Common House at Spider Park, home to the Five Rivers Cohousing community. The development was designed with sustainability at its core, and our systems provide low-carbon, energy-efficient heating that works in harmony with the fabric of the buildings. By replacing the need for gas boilers, the ASHP and UFH installations deliver reliable comfort while helping residents lower their energy use and carbon footprint. The project demonstrates how renewable technologies can successfully support community-led, environmentally focused housing schemes.

Salvation Army, Barton-Upon-Humber 2018

Innovative, Sustainable Church Project in Humberside:
Midland Renewables played a key role in creating one of the UK’s most sustainable new church buildings. Working closely with the project team, we installed an air source heat pump at ground level and 28 solar panels across the roof. These renewable technologies now generate enough clean energy to fully power the church, removing the need for a traditional gas boiler. The result is a modern, efficient building that significantly reduces carbon emissions while lowering running costs. This project demonstrates how smart design and renewable energy can support both sustainability goals and community values.
