One of the best ways to achieve this? Upgrading to an **air source heat pump** — and thanks to the government’s **Boiler Upgrade Scheme (BUS)**, it’s now more affordable than ever. ### 💷 What is the Boiler Upgrade Scheme? The Boiler Upgrade Scheme is a UK Government initiative designed to help households in England and Wales make the switch from traditional fossil fuel heating systems (like gas and oil boilers) to **low-carbon heating solutions**, including **air source heat pumps**. As of 2024, the scheme offers a **£7,500 grant** towards the cost and installation of a heat pump — making it one of the most generous incentives available for green energy upgrades. --- ### 🌱 Why Choose an Air Source Heat Pump? Air source heat pumps work by absorbing heat from the outside air — even in cold weather — and using it to warm your home and provide hot water. They’re incredibly efficient, typically using less electricity to generate more heat than traditional systems. **Benefits include:** - **Lower energy bills** – thanks to high efficiency and reduced reliance on fossil fuels - **Cutting carbon emissions** – ideal for eco-conscious households - **Consistent, reliable heating** – modern heat pumps work year-round, even in low temperatures - **Increase property value** – a green, efficient heating system is a real selling point --- ### 🏡 Who Can Apply? The BUS grant is available to homeowners, small landlords, and self-builders in England and Wales who are replacing existing fossil fuel systems. The key eligibility criteria include: - Your property must be **privately owned** - You’re replacing a **gas, oil, LPG, or electric heating system** - Your home must have a valid **Energy Performance Certificate (EPC)** - You are a self builder --- ### 🔧 How Midland Renewables Can Help At **Midland Renewables**, we take care of the entire process: ✅ We assess your property and heating needs ✅ We confirm your eligibility for the £7,500 grant ✅ We handle the grant application on your behalf ✅ We install your new, energy-efficient air source heat pump with expert care We’re MCS-certified and fully qualified to deliver installations under the Boiler Upgrade Scheme, ensuring a smooth, stress-free experience from start to finish. --- ### 📞 Don’t Miss Out – Demand is High! Government funding is limited, and with rising interest in renewable heating, grant applications are being processed on a first-come, first-served basis. Don’t wait until it’s too late — take advantage of the **£7,500 grant** now and enjoy a warmer, greener home for years to come. 👉 **Contact Midland Renewables today** to book your free consultation and start your journey toward cleaner, cheaper heating. ## Share this post [mailto:https%3A%2F%2Fmidlandrenewables.co.uk%2Fblog%2Fupgrade-your-heating-with-a-7500-grant](mailto:https%3A%2F%2Fmidlandrenewables.co.uk%2Fblog%2Fupgrade-your-heating-with-a-7500-grant) ## Keep reading ### [![](https://midlandrenewables.co.uk/hs-fs/hubfs/AI-Generated%20Media/Images/The%20image%20depicts%20a%20modern%20home%20nestled%20in%20a%20lush%20green%20landscape%20showcasing%20a%20sleek%20airsource%20heat%20pump%20discreetly%20positioned%20beside%20the%20exterior%20wal.png?width=1024&height=1024&name=The%20image%20depicts%20a%20modern%20home%20nestled%20in%20a%20lush%20green%20landscape%20showcasing%20a%20sleek%20airsource%20heat%20pump%20discreetly%20positioned%20beside%20the%20exterior%20wal.png) The Renewable Revolution: Why Now is the Time to Switch](https://midlandrenewables.co.uk/blog/the-renewable-revolution-why-now-is-the-time-to-switch) ### [![](https://midlandrenewables.co.uk/hs-fs/hubfs/tesla%203.webp?width=600&height=225&name=tesla%203.webp) Save Money and Boost Property Value with Solar Panels and Battery Storage](https://midlandrenewables.co.uk/blog/save-money-and-boost-property-value-with-solar-panels-and-battery-storage) [![Midland_FULL_W-1](https://midlandrenewables.co.uk/hs-fs/hubfs/Midland_FULL_W-1.jpg?width=1000&height=265&name=Midland_FULL_W-1.jpg "Midland_FULL_W-1")](https://midlandrenewables.co.uk) - [Home](https://midlandrenewables.co.uk/home) - [About](https://midlandrenewables.co.uk/about-us) - [Heat Pumps](https://midlandrenewables.co.uk/our-products) - [Solar PV & Battery](https://midlandrenewables.co.uk/solar-panels-and-battery-storage) - [Guides and FAQs](https://midlandrenewables.co.uk/news-and-information) - [Our Showroom](https://midlandrenewables.co.uk/our-showroom) - [Case Studies](https://midlandrenewables.co.uk/case-studies) [Contact Us](https://midlandrenewables.co.uk/contact-us) ![oakworth](https://midlandrenewables.co.uk/hubfs/oakworth.jpg "oakworth") --- Privacy Policy · Legal · © 2025 Midland Renewables.
